Heather Oliver is the founder and Managing Director of LG Talent and has enjoyed a 30-year career in Recruitment.

There is not a role type or sector Heather hasn’t worked in over this period, however her true passion is recruitment in Local Government.

Enjoying being close to community and her customers, Heather has assisted many councils over the years with their recruitment needs, providing an honest, customer centric, quality and value for money service and process each and every time, in true partnership with them.

Whether a CEO appointment, an Executive Team member, specialist, or technical role, it is all about ensuring a thorough understanding is gained, a robust screening and recruitment process is applied, a creative candidate attraction strategy adopted, and then working closely with key stakeholders, ensuring they are well informed throughout.

Heather also has experience recruiting Executive Officers and Board Members for Local Government Authorities.

Heather has a real affinity with councils of a size and scale and enjoys visiting different regions across Australia to build relationships, and to understand the unique needs and points of difference in each.

This is extremely important when recruiting, to ensure all the facts and selling points are shared with potential candidates.

Equally comfortable in a metropolitan environment, she respects and understands the structure of local government and the dynamics and differences across councils, large or small.
